Take a moment to reflect on how we celebrated Catholic Schools Week 2024! With the many student- and faith-centered values, Divine Mercy Catholic Academy is the elementary school of choice in our community! CSW 2024 was held Sunday, 1/28 through Saturday, 2/3.
This year, our celebration was focused around the theme of "United in Faith and Community!"  Throughout the week, our students worked with each other, their teachers, area clergy members and others to bring Faith, Excellence and Service to life. Our activities include:
Sunday, January 28: Celebrating Our Parishes
  • Families filled our parishes while wearing our DMCA uniforms at mass to spread their Crusher Pride. Our Chorale also performed at St. John Gaulbert Cathedral.
Monday, January 29: Celebrating Our Communities
  • Opening Mass was held at both campuses
  • Bishop McCort students came over at lunch time to eat with our students.
  • The start of Penny Wars; students were encouraged to bring in spare change throughout the week. This was donated to the local VA at the end of the week; with a combined total of $1415.50 raised!
  • Students were permitted to get cozy and wear their pajamas to school!
Tuesday, January 30: Celebrating Our Students
  • Our 6th graders headed down to Bishop McCort Catholic High School for Step-Up day!  
  • Dress like your favorite character!
  • Students also met with their class buddies and enjoyed playing their favorite board games
Wednesday, January 31: Celebrating Our Nationred white blue
  • Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet
  • Halfway through Penny Wars! The competition was heating up!
  • Everyone was encouraged to wear Red, White and Blue
  • Our staff and 6th grade students played in a fun game of volleyball

Thursday, February 1: Celebrating Vocations
  • Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet
  • Our students worked hard on some beautiful cards and drawings for all of our Priest who have such a wonderful impact on our schools. 
  • Everyone showed their school spirit by dressing in Crusher gear!
  • Crusher Family Fun Night with Bishop McCort as we cheered on the McCort Hockey Team! 
Friday, February 2: Celebrating Our Faculty, Staff and Volunteers
Early Dismissal, 11:30 am
  • Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet
  • A breakfast was provided for our faculty and staff from the PTO
  • Students dress like your favorite teacher/staff member
Saturday, February 3: Celebrating Families
  • Parents received a special thank you
