PTO Information

Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an active group of volunteer parents, teachers and administrators who work together to create a variety of events that benefit all of our students. Every DMCA parent and teacher is invited and welcome to join and get involved! Activities can include:

Halloween PTO


  • Lunchroom and library support
  • Classroom holiday parties
  • Educational events
  • Community outings

Our fundraisers help fund field trips for every student in every grade. With PTO support, students have experienced the Pittsburgh Zoo, Carnegie Museums and Science Center, Idlewild Park, Cresson Lake Playhouse, Mountain Playhouse, Horseshoe Curve and much more.

Our PTO meetings are currently held via Zoom on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm-7pm. Please visit the PTO Facebook page for monthly Zoom links.


There are no dues or fees to join our PTO; simply come to any meeting as your schedule allows! Please click the link at the right to review a copy of our PTO Bylaws.

redwhitebluePTO fundraising supports the extra events and trips we organize for our students. Please note that it is totally separate from DMCA’s $800/family fundraising requirement, which is used to support DMCA’s operating expenses.


PTO fundraisers are optional but your help and support is very much appreciated.  This year some of the fundraisers and events that the PTO is working on are Family Movie Nights, 3rd Annual Crusher Classic, Trunk-or-Treat, Santa Shop,12 Days of Christmas, Cady-Gram sale, Tomahawks Night Out, and more! Information on the rest of the upcoming PTO fundraising activities will be posted when they become available.
