Welcome! My name is Tina Teno and I so am happy to meet you. I know this is going to be a great year for all of us to grow and learn together.

I have been in education for 27 years. I graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1994 with a dual Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Music Education. I received my master's degree in Elementary/Middle School Mathematics Education in 2006. This is my 25th year teaching for the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese. I am currently teaching 5th and 6th grade math, science, and religion.

In my classroom, I believe it is important for students to feel safe and respected. We will work all year long to establish a room filled with friendships, pride, trust and high self-esteem. I want all my students to feel that they are in a place where they can comfortably be themselves all while learning and growing to be the best they can be. I also believe that the students, parents and teacher must work together and create a strong partnership so that our students can achieve their goals and continue to develop as 21st century learners.

Please feel free to contact me at teno.tina@dmcatholic.org with any questions or concerns. I will make every effort to get in touch with you as soon as possible. I am looking forward to meeting you!

I am looking forward to a fun year together filled with lots of exciting activities, challenges, learning and laughter.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tina Teno
