Coaches who encourage, support and teach our student-athletes
We encourage our students to participate in sports that interest them, beginning when they're ready and want to learn a particular sport. Our volunteer coaches help our young students develop confidence in their abilities so that they learn not only how to play, but also how to handle themselves in competition and to represent their school with respect and dignity. All of our coaches have completed the necessary legal clearances. If you would like to volunteer with one of our athletic teams, please call us at 814.961.DMCA (3622) or contact us here.
DMCA Athletic Assocation
Our competitive athletic programs are organized and funded almost entirely by our school’s Athletic Association, a volunteer group that works year round to ensure the quality of our athletic programs. If you would like to become involved in supporting or contributing to our Athletic Association, please call us at 814.961.DMCA (3622) or contact us here.

Crusher Cheerleading
At DMCA, girls in grades 1-6 grade are welcome to join our Crusher Rec Competitive Cheerleading Program. In this program, we teach safe, proper technique for stunting, tumbling, and many other precision skills integral to the sport of cheerleading. In addition to learning athletic skills, DMCA cheer members learn respect, team bonding, responsibility, and dedication to others.
Our members practice and work hard for many months perfecting their skills and competing locally at numerous cheer competitions. We support the football and other teams at Divine Mercy. We also have a lot of fun.
Two different cheer teams are offered so that everyone has an opportunity to learn and grow at a pace appropriate for their age and ability. Teams work under the leadership of experienced Head Cheer Coach Megan Miller Gordon. From time to time some parents and/or other volunteers may be asked to help the cheer squads. All volunteers have the appropriate volunteer clearances on file.
Our cheer athletes are building a strong foundation for future cheerleading experiences and for life. We invite interested students or parents to contact Ms. Miller here.
